Forward-deployed AI · Toronto

We build AI into the work you already do.

Computer Assist works alongside your team to learn the real process, build in the tools you already use and test the result on real work. We stay through rollout and handover instead of leaving you with another software subscription and a slide deck.

Where AI can help

Useful support without the hype.

The best first deployment removes friction from work your team already understands. We fit the solution to the business instead of forcing the business to fit another product.

01

ChatGPT or Copilot setup

Choose the appropriate account, configure practical settings and build a safe starting workflow for the work you already do.

02

Documents & email

Draft, summarize, organize and improve recurring documents or messages while keeping final approval with your staff.

03

Research & comparison

Create a repeatable method for gathering information, comparing options and checking important claims against reliable sources.

04

Reusable instructions

Turn a good one-off result into tested prompts, checklists and examples that are easier for a team to use consistently.

05

Simple automation pilot

Prototype one narrow handoff between tools, with failure cases, approvals and a manual fallback defined before launch.

06

Team guidance

Show staff what the workflow is for, what information should stay out of it and how to review output before using it.

Start safely

A pilot before a promise.

Good first-project ingredients

  • A task that happens repeatedly
  • A clear example of a good result
  • Low-risk information for the first test
  • A person who can review the output
  • A simple way to measure time or quality

Important boundaries

AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Computer Assist does not promise autonomous decision-making, guaranteed accuracy or a specific saving before a measured pilot. Legal, medical, financial, employment and other high-impact decisions remain with qualified people.

The right expertise for the work

Specialist support when the project calls for it.

Computer Assist leads the engagement and can bring in appropriate specialists when a project requires deeper expertise in areas such as security, data integration, automation or staff adoption. You keep one accountable point of contact, with responsibilities, access and scope agreed before the work begins.

A simple process

From idea to a test you can judge.

See the work

Sit with the people doing the job, map the current process and find where time, attention or information gets lost.

Build beside your team

Configure the workflow in the tools you already use, with the right data boundaries, approvals and manual fallback.

Test on real examples

Compare the result with the work done today, measure usefulness and fix failure cases before expanding the scope.

Stay through handover

Document the operating steps, help staff adopt them and remain available while the new workflow settles into real use.

Common questions

Before starting an AI project.

What kind of AI help do you provide?

We learn one real workflow, build and test practical automation in the tools your team already uses, guide the people using it and stay through rollout and handover.

What does forward-deployed mean?

It means working directly with the people doing the work: learning the real process, building in your environment, testing on real examples and staying involved until the workflow is usable.

How much does an AI project cost?

It depends on the task, tools, information and review needed. You receive a written pilot scope and price before billable project work begins.

Will AI replace our staff or make decisions automatically?

That is not the starting promise. Initial projects assist people with defined tasks while a responsible person reviews the output and remains accountable for decisions.

Can we use confidential information?

Not by default. The information, account settings, vendor terms and privacy requirements must be reviewed before confidential, personal or regulated information is used.

Where does work get stuck?

Tell us what slows the team down. Computer Assist will help identify the smallest useful workflow to improve and define the next step with you.
